I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH) STERIS HCD Student Design Charrette at the Healthcare Design Conference in Kansas City as a representative for Iowa State University. Alongside Lindsay Hoag, Ziyu Liang, and Brianna Bona our interdisciplinary team was given 48 hours to design a comprehensive cancer center in the Country Club Plaza neighborhood in Kansas City. I learned so much through this experience and it was an honor to be able to present my work to the professionals and faculty who took the time to serve as our jury.
Below is what we were able to accomplish in these 48 hours.
